Designed by Carl Gustav Magnuson and developed while at Shea + Latone the Zinc chair was a challenge in both design and engineering.
Zinc
Designed to use one set of major components the chair could take multiple forms, from a standard four legged stacking seat, to a more elegant wooden legged base.
Hidden Strength
At the core of the chair was a carefuly designed peice of stamped steel. This allowed the chairs legs to simply blend into the plastic components of the seat, making even the underside of this chair beautiful.
